TCA basics · Question 4 of 12

What does showitem in the types section of the TCA define?

1 answer is correct. Easy

Show answer

Answer

  • D Which fields appear in the editing form, in which order and on which tabs

Explanation

showitem is a comma-separated list from which the FormEngine builds the form for a record type, e.g. 'showitem' => 'title, description, --div--;Images, images'. --div--;Label starts a new tab, and --palette--;;name includes a palette. A field that is defined under columns but does not appear in any showitem is not shown in the form. Required fields, on the other hand, are set in the field configuration with 'required' => true, and showitem has nothing to do with frontend output.
