2 answers are correct. Easy

Show answer

Answer

  • B The caches were not flushed after the change
  • D The field is not listed in showitem of the matching record type

Explanation

TYPO3 does not re-read the TCA files on every request but keeps the combined TCA in a cache; after a change you flush it, e.g. with vendor/bin/typo3 cache:flush or in the System > Maintenance module via "Flush TYPO3 and PHP Cache". In addition, defining the field under columns is not enough: it also has to appear in showitem of the record type, which for tables of other extensions is easiest via ExtensionManagementUtility::addToAllTCAtypes(). exclude cannot be the cause here, because it only hides fields for non-admins, and ctrl.label merely determines the record title.
