CLI and scheduler · Question 7 of 12

Which execution types can be configured for a scheduler task?

3 answers are correct. Easy

Show answer

Answer

  • A Recurring execution according to a cron expression such as 0 3 * * *
  • C Recurring execution at an interval in seconds
  • D Single execution at a defined point in time

Explanation

A task is either single or recurring. For recurring tasks you specify the frequency as a number of seconds, for example 3600 for hourly, or as a cron expression, for example 0 3 * * * for daily at 3 a.m.; an optional end date limits the runtime. The scheduler itself only becomes active when a cron job regularly calls vendor/bin/typo3 scheduler:run – it then checks which tasks are due. Frontend requests or backend logins do not start any tasks.
