Answer

  • C From an XLIFF file found via the translation domain my_ext.modules.overview, which contains the keys title, description and short_description

Explanation

Since TYPO3 v14, labels can be referenced via translation domains: my_ext.modules.overview is shorthand for an XLIFF file of the extension my_ext, without having to specify the full path LLL:EXT:...xlf. The file must contain the keys title, description and short_description. The title appears in the module menu, the short description as a tooltip. This makes the module translatable out of the box instead of having fixed text in the code. The old LLL:EXT: notation still works.
