Which ViewHelper outputs the content of a variable in a Fluid template for debugging?

1 answer is correct. Easy

Show answer

Answer

  • B <f:debug>

Explanation

With <f:debug>{product}</f:debug> or inline {product -> f:debug()}, Fluid displays the content of a variable including its type and properties in a clear way. This helps when a value is missing in the template and you want to check what the controller actually passed; <f:debug>{_all}</f:debug> shows all available variables. In PHP code, DebuggerUtility::var_dump() from Extbase does the same. There is no f:dump ViewHelper in Fluid – the name comes from other template engines such as Twig. Debug output does not belong on a live system and should be removed before deployment.
