Answer

  • B In ExtensionUtility::configurePlugin(), in the fourth argument listing the non-cacheable actions

Explanation

When a plugin is registered in ext_localconf.php, the third argument of ExtensionUtility::configurePlugin() lists all allowed actions and the fourth argument the non-cacheable ones, e.g. [ShopController::class => 'cart']. When such an action is called, TYPO3 executes the plugin like a USER_INT object while the rest of the page stays cached. A shopping cart is therefore up to date without the whole page having to do without the cache. There is no #[NoCache] attribute in Extbase, and switching off the cache for whole pages would hurt performance unnecessarily.
