Explanation
Extbase evaluates the type declaration of the action parameter (property mapping): if the type is a domain model extending AbstractEntity, the passed UID is converted into a fully loaded object. A manual findByUid() call in the controller is therefore unnecessary. Such links are created in the template, for example, with <f:link.action action="show" arguments="{conference: conference}">. The normal visibility rules apply: hidden or deleted records are not resolved. Simple types such as int or string, in contrast, are read directly from the request arguments.
