Show answer
Answer
- B Defend the U.S. Constitution
- D Give up loyalty to other countries
Explanation
In the oath, new citizens promise to give up loyalty to other countries, to defend the Constitution, to obey the laws, to serve in the military or do other important work for the nation if needed, and to be loyal to the United States. English skills and length of residence are requirements for naturalization, but not promises in the oath.
