ML functional performance metrics · Question 1 of 60

Which four situations does a confusion matrix distinguish in a classification?

1 answer is correct. Easy

Show answer

Answer

  • D True positive, true negative, false positive and false negative

Explanation

Every prediction of a classifier falls into one of four cells: true positive (TP), true negative (TN), false positive (FP) or false negative (FN). How the matrix is drawn, for example with swapped axes, does not matter. Accuracy, precision, recall and F1-score are calculated from these four numbers.
